Kenyan police destroyed on Wednesday an improvised explosive devices (IEDs) assembly site suspected to belong to Al-Shabab terror group at Gaame, Ijaara area in Garissa County (north-eastern province bordering Somalia), according to intelligence reports cited Friday by Kenyan media.
The site is believed to have also served as a health service centre for the Somalia-based terrorist group, added the same sources.
“Weapons, explosives, electronics, large amounts of black explosive powder, foodstuffs and medicine were found at the site”, according to the intelligence reports.
