Algeria : Fuel Shipment to Lebanon Seen as Support for Lebanese Hezbollah

Under the guise of humanitarian aid, the recent announcement by the Algerian presidency regarding the shipment of fuel to Lebanon to help the country overcome its energy crisis is, according to Lebanese local sources, direct support for the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah, an ally of Iran and a sworn enemy of Israel.

« Following the instructions of the President of the Republic, Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui called today President of the Lebanese Government, Najib Mikati, to inform him of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s decision to support Lebanon in these difficult circumstances by immediately providing the country with quantities of fuel to operate power plants and restore electricity, » the Algerian presidency’s statement said.

According to Western sources, this strategic support from General Saïd Chengriha, Chief of the General Staff of the Army, goes beyond merely transporting fuel; reports also indicate transfers of weapons and military equipment, facilitating attacks against Israel, destabilizing the region, and prolonging the Israeli-Arab conflict.

By providing fuel to a country where Hezbollah exerts significant influence, Algeria is effectively enhancing the capabilities of this organization. Fuel is a crucial resource not only for the functioning of civilian infrastructure but also for military operations, including those of armed groups that use these resources to power their vehicles, generators, and other equipment necessary for their activities.

The pro-Iranian Lebanese Hezbollah released a video on Friday, August 16, showing a vast underground military base for storing rockets and trucks equipped with large-caliber missile launchers.
