At least 19 people were killed and 28 others were injured when a car bomb exploded on Monday at a checkpoint on the road to Mogadishu airport, according to Medina Hospital source.
Al-Shabaab terrorist group, linked to Al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the attack which comes one week after the bombing carried out by the same jihadist group in Kismayo, killing at least 26 people and wounding dozens.
